Music in a distant hall.
Notes sound that shred the soul,

I won’t forget the days
When winter lost her touch,
And sneakered feet could
Feel the reverent hush
Of grass and snow
Beneath my feet;
The softening ground
Of spring so sweet;
When dreams were wrapped
Up tight like bubble gum;
