For the last several years I have been very active in the online poetry community, both as a writer and moderator. Technology and its advances have changed the way we interact with and reach lovers of the written word. I share with you here some thoughts and reactions to my poetry.

With much love and appreciation~

“What beautiful words… I could marinate myself in them.”

“All I can say is that your writing has roses and daggers in it and sometimes the smell of roses doesn’t warn you of the coming danger.”

“*intake of breath*… Such an amazingly powerful write, flawlessly packages… This flowed perfectly, and had some intense imagery…”

“How could one fail to be moved and comforted by such thoughts and heartfelt words…it is a lullaby of pure love you have written. You have recognized scars for the beauty they hold…visible or not, they mark life’s trail to show where pain has been, reminders that somehow we have survived. Thank you for the cradling arms of your poetry, the tenderness of your words….you sing beautifully. This was a very moving piece for me. Although your arms are held out to a man, they embrace all, and if I may, I would like to keep this with me and read it, or share it, in times of need.”

“I especially like the way you balance the action between the objects and subjects in your work… You illustrate a true give and take relationship… You always manage to say, in effect… If you just speak to me of your pain, I will listen, absorb it, and comfort you… Why? Because you water my fallow heart… Wow! That degree of dedication is profound, which makes for poetry of the highest order!”

“I always enjoy your fluid control with words, another excellent read. happily stashed away in my memory bank.”

“~What a beautiful piece you have written here, so musical, very fluid, an amazing flow of words and thoughts.”

“Such unconditional love here… A beautiful sad write. This touches my heart.”

“A wonder flow, an impressive rhyme scheme, and a killer theme. What more can one ask for?”

“…how I cried when I read this… I cried like a baby. You captured this perfectly.”

*wipes eyes*….you know….there have been a few of your writes of late….that have taken me to dusty old rooms that I should probably clean out one day…don’t get me wrong…that isn’t a bad thing…just a hard thing…you have touched me today in a wonderful way and I am grateful.”

“This is love? My God, you want me to cry for what I am missing? Seriously… I don’t know what to say. Except perhaps to realize how lucky you are to have ever felt so, if this poem is true to what you feel. Beautiful, beautiful write.”

“What a beautiful and touching piece you have here. I think that everyone is looking for a love like that but only few find it. Very beautiful poetry here!”

“…well I’m off to find the band-aids…this one leaves you with a slashed feeling….good dark write”

“…something here leaves me choked up and tripping over my own thoughts…and for the life of me I can’t put my finger on it….I read this twice…and each time…was like a weight…pressing on my chest…you’ve struck a chord here somewhere…I’m just not sure if I want to know where and which on…”

“This left me speechless, in fact, my throat is still dry and my fingers are refusing to type. How can I comment on this? I’ll blaspheme and invoke Emily in vain, but I won’t quite do that yet. There is no wasted word in this piece and it is packed with emotion. That last stanza and specially, that last line pushes the sun away from its orbit and plunges us into a black hole. What else are we to do if we lose even our dreams of love?”

“Somehow, your words come across both delicate & profound… very impressive.”

“~All of your poems convey so much sensitivity and emotion. This poem is lovely, subtle yet so intense.”

“~Poignant and beautiful…your words have an old soul feel to them…sometimes my vocabulary seems all to inadequate to say all that my heart feels.”

“…very fluid….I love to read your poems aloud to myself…they’re always like a melody……just can’t shake where this one took me…beautifully crafted…rolled off the tongue and straight to the heart.”

“Too painful to read, perhaps? It just kills me… kills me, I tell you! You are good… Sometimes, I wish you are not this good!”

“~The last lines of this piece just about broke my heart…this one will haunt me a bit I think. I felt this and related far more that I’d care to.”

“…damn…damn…damn…there is such an awful, empty, pleading to this one…I can relate to it far more than I care to admit…both as the one pleading to be let go…and the one holding on to empty promises and dreams… ‘hope rise with dawn, then die relentlessly’…truly one of the best and most poignant lines I have read…nothing like the light of day to reveal everything we want to hide/cover up/deny/etc…this is one that struck me on a very personal level…truly a powerful write.”

“You are one of those whose work I read and say to myself – ‘I wish I could write that well’. Once again, you seem to be able to translate for me what my heart seems to want to say. Simply amazing.”

“You certainly are a visitor to all that lies within… And willing or not, the night voices speak through you… You are a relayer… A translator… A Sybil… An Oracle… here you have put on your golden mask again and eloquently bared your soul… Being a poet is a dirty job but you do it so very well!”

“Very strong images…..stick in the brain well…create another world in words…”

“…eloquent….beautiful…”

“~A stunning poem with such vivid imagery. All your poems are like these exquisite pieces that one can enjoy through the eyes of your sould.”

“My imagination is reeling…slightly sad and yet wonderfully romantic.”

“~Beautiful, as always, vibrantly (yet gently) told!”

“This is beautiful… TRUE poetry. Beautiful, fluent perspective!”

“As gentle as spring rain…it caressed my being…good write…a beautiful touch…”

“~A beautiful, tender write that touches the soul.”

“~Exquisitely crafted with humanity and grace- thoroughly enjoyed this.”
