Winter Yields

The drifting snow gives way to falling rain,

Renewal’s Illusion

Sweet green hours, promised bliss.
Idyllic days though eyes deceive.
Halcyon hued masterpiece.
All glory spilled in lambent light,
Lush through splendid oak and pear.
Token jewels of life, dismiss.
My wandered vales no sun perceive.
Dawning dark without surcease,
No verdant touch to tame the night.
Spring more joy than I can bear.

Spring Comes

Beneath each snowfall

My daughter is due Feb. 2nd…she went to the hospital this morning and is having mild contractions, 3 minutes apart. They sent her home to wait and see what happens…could be today, could be a week from now.arghhhhhhhh!!!!
