By night I light the candles
that stand beside my bed
to beckon fire’s rise…calling.
I formed the cups of claret wax
infused with choice and fragrant herbs-
bergamot to draw him near,
lemon balm to bind him.
Moonlight Sonata moves across
the confines of my skin,
piano strains in candlelight
as shadows swirl and splay;
crimson dragon rising on
the canvas of my dreams-
fearless and ascending.

To Fall Unending

o the wind I call,
atop the tor, to take me
as I am- unleashed and
scattered as I fall
unending into love.
Old Gods avert your face
for this…
this is all I am
in raiment elemental-
shattered here
in icy shards-
lashed by tongues
that lick with sacred fire.
Only this, embellishment denied,
ungentled, unrestrained
beneath your gaze.
Eider blown, as wishes borne,
on every breath that circles-
urging and insistent.
