How I wish the rain
would wash away the
sorrow in my mind,
strip me clean,
leave nothing left behind,
dissolve me of my fears,
mingle with my tears-
how I wish the rain.
How I wish the rain
would cover up the
sun and all my light,
erase the shadows
dancing through my night,

Paste that grin
Tow the line
Another day to spend
Play your part
Price be damned
All common need transcend
Countless ills
Of this life
Don’t bother you- pretend
Resonate
Cultivate
The choice, to break or bend
Keep it cool
For today
Your private hell-descend
Hold your breath
Take the plunge
Humanity suspend
Sink or swim
Count the cost
You’re still dead in the end.

once [...]

he joins her in each elemental dance.
Their fingers twined, eyes fixed, around they go,
a whirl of hours, [...]
Wreck at Penmon Point

Distant calls the evening bell
faint upon the boson’s ear.
Swallowed by the rising wind,
stars to neither guide nor steer.
Lashing waves against the prow
threatening to take the ship.
Eyes still strain relentlessly,
seeking land through swell and dip.
Meaningless, the compass rose,
direction without bearing.
Reconciling death and sin
with frantic oaths and swearing.
Is it brutal rock on wood
or the scrap of grief [...]
