Tremulous…
Momiji sways-
Whispered call of freshening wind
strums the temple bells.
Echoes tremble in the flesh,
resonating chimes ring long, ring deep.
O’ sweet call to prayer.
Tuning fork resides within,
muscles clench to
keep that thrum alive.
Captured chant…
repeat, released.
Limbs and soul spread wide-
on gingko wings
high and aloft-
to edges where their
soft sounds fall away.
